                         Compaq ProLiant Storage
			 System Driver
                 

1.  INTRODUCTION

    This file contains the manual driver installation instructions for
    an extraction of the Compaq ProLiant Storage System Driver files.

2.  MANUAL DRIVER INSTALLATION

    To install the Compaq ProLiant Storage System Driver manually 
    instead of installing the component package, follow these steps:

     1. Start Windows 2000 and log on as an administrator.

     2. From the Start menu, point to Settings and select Control
        Panel.

     3. Select Add/Remove Hardware, then click Next.

     4. Check Add new hardware, then click Next.

     5. Select Add/Troubleshoot a device, then click Next.

     6. Select Add a new device from the list of devices, then 
        click Next.

     7. Check No. I want to select the hardware from a list, then 
        click Next.

     8. Highlight Other devices and click Next.

     9. Click Have Disk. Change the drive letter to correspond to 
        your CD-ROM drive.

    10. Click Browse on the Install from Disk screen.

    11. Double-click the PRLNTSS folder and select CPQPRLNT. Click
        Open and click OK to confirm the driver, then click Next.

    12. Click Finish on the Hardware Task Status screen.

    13. Reboot your system.
