Identification This driver can be installed for the on-board Matrox VGA driver in Windows Server 2003, 32-bit and 64-bit, for Gateway server models E-9425R, E-9525R, and E-9520T, and motherboard part numbers 4006155R and 4006161R. Installation The driver should be updated if: 1. You are experiencing a known issue that is resolved by this driver. 2. A Gateway technician has instructed you to update your Windows RAID controller driver. 3. Windows has just been installed or reinstalled fresh. Steps to update the driver in Windows Server 2003: 1. Extract the file 9535512.exe to the designated location. 2. Browse to the location of the extracted files. The default location is C:\Cabs\9535512. 3. Within that folder, browse to the subfolder containing the files for you version of Windows Server 2003 (W2K3X86 for the 32-bit version, W2K3X64 for the 64-bit version.) 4. Run the file setup.exe in that folder. 5. On the first dialog box, click Next when presented with the list of supported devices found. If no supported devices are listed, ensure that your server and/or motherboard supports this driver. 6. Click Next on the next dialog to install the drivers. 7. Once the files have been copied to your server, click Next once more. 8. The server must be restarted to complete the driver install. Click Finish to restart your computer, or click to clear the Restart my computer when I click Finish check box if you wish to restart later, and then click Finish. 9. Once the server is restarted, the new driver is installed and ready for use. 10. The updated driver is identified as 'Matrox G200e (ServerEngines) - English' in Device Manager. Removal To remove the updated driver, perform the following steps: 1. From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, click Add/Remove Programs. 3. In the Add/Remove Programs window, click Matrox Graphics Software (remove only), and then click Change/Remove. 4. When prompted to confirm the removal of the software, click Yes. 5. Once the drivers are removed, you are prompted to restart to complete the uninstall. Click Yes to restart the computer, or click No if you prefer to restart at a later time. 6. After rebooting the server, the driver removal is complete. 7. The driver is listed in Device Manager as Standard VGA Graphics Adapter after the removal. Troubleshooting If you have problems updating the drivers, try the following steps to resolve the issue: 1. Download the driver files once again, and then re-extract them to a new location. 2. Perform the steps above in the Steps to update the driver in Windows 2003 section once again. 3. If you are still unable to update the drivers, contact Gateway technical support. Reason for Update This driver provides the full range of video modes supported by the video chipset hardware, and is also required to access the Gateway GLO Remote KVMS functionality.
