Identification If you are using a Solo 1200 portable computer with Windows Me and the Bromax PCMCIA modem, install these drivers. Installation 1. Download the Bromdm.exe file. The files extract to the C:\CABS\Bromdm folder. 2. Insert the Bromax PCMCIA card. 3. In the Add New Hardware Wizard dialog box, click Specify the location of the driver (Advanced), and then click Next. 4. In the next Add New Hardware Wizard dialog box, click to clear the Removable Media check box, and then select the Specify a location check box. 5. In the text box, type: C:\cabs\Bromdm. Click Next. 6. The Add New Hardware Wizard identifies the PCMCIA 56K V.90 Fax Modem Card. Click Next. 7. In the final Add New Hardware Wizard dialog box, click Finish. 8. In Device Manager, disable the integrated modem (56K AC-Link Modem). Removal 1. On the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, double-click the System icon. 3. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Device Manager tab. 4. On the Device Manager tab, click the plus sign (+) next to the modem icon. 5. Select the PCMCIA 56K V.90 Fax Modem Card, and then click Remove. 6. Physically remove the Bromax card from the computer.
