Telepath with X2 Technology Readme file notes: Considered supplementary to the manual. Installation for Win95 (plug and play) 1. Ensure the modem's jumpers are in the plug and play setting. (No COM or IRQ is hardwired in place by the jumpers) 2. Turn off power in your computer and open the case. 3. Physically install the modem into a free ISA slot in your computer. 4. Attach the necessary connections to the modem. 5. Close case and power up computer into Win95 operating system. 6. Update device driver wizard window appears. 7. Insert floppy with INF files into drive. 8. Click Next. 9. Click Finish. 10. Click Next (wave device for voice modem). 11. Click Finish (this concludes installation). 12. Take out floppy. Installation for Win NT (non plug and play) 1. Ensure the modem's jumpers are set to a COM and IRQ setting. (usually COM2 and IRQ3) 2. Turn off power in your computer and open the case. 3. Physically install the modem into a free ISA slot in your computer. 4. Attach the necessary connections to the modem. 5. Close case and power up computer to the Win NT operation system. 6. In Control Panel, double click Modem icon (looks like telephone). 7. Install New Modem window appears. 8. Click Next. Program queries modem. Let's you know right away if it is working. 9. You'll have window with Standard Modem highlighted. 10. Click Change. 11. Insert disk with INF files into floppy drive. 12. Click Have Disk. 13. Default should be on A:\ If not, browse to where INFs are located. 14. Click OK. 15. Telepath with X2 Technology appears. Click OK. 16. Click Next. 17. Click Finish. (Modem installed) 18.
