Overview

This document describes the steps necessary to install and configure the audio drivers for the Solo 9300 portable computer.


Identification

If you have a Solo 9300 running Windows 2000, install these drivers.


Installation

1.  Go to the folder where the files were extracted, and then double-click the ESSetup.exe file to begin the installation.  The default location for file extraction is C:\cabs\7512060.

2.  In the Welcome to M2E Audio Setup dialog box, click Next.

3.  In the Setup Complete dialog box, click Finish to restart your computer.


Removal

1.  From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

2.  In Control Panel, double-click the System icon.

3.  In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.

4.  In Device Manager, double-click Sound, video and game controllers.  Right-click ESS Maestro2E PCI AudioDrive (WDM), and then click Uninstall.

5.  In the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK.

6.  Close Device Manager.

7.  If prompted to restart your computer, click OK.


Troubleshooting

If you have difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the removal procedure, and then reinstall the drivers.
