Overview

This document describes the steps necessary to install and configure the audio drivers for the Solo 5350 portable computer.


Identification

If you have a Solo 5350 portable computer and are running Windows 2000, install these drivers.


Installation

1.  In the C:\cabs\7511283 folder, double-click ESSetup.exe to begin the installation.

2.  In the Setup dialog box, click Next.

3.  In the Setup Complete dialog box, click Finish.

4.  The computer restarts to finish the installation.


Removal

1.  From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

2.  In Control Panel, double-click the System icon.

3.  In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.

4.  In Device Manager, click the plus sign (+) next to Sound, video and game controllers.  

5.  Right-click ESS Allegro PCI Audio (WDM), and then click Uninstall.

6.  In the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK.

7.  Close Device Manager.

8.  If prompted to restart the computer, click OK.


Troubleshooting

If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the removal procedure, and then re-install the drivers.
