This README.TXT file contains information to help you set up the display drivers on the Solo 3350 in Windows 2000. --------------------------------------------------------------- 01.) Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel. Double click on the System Icon. 02.) When the System Properties window opens click on the Hardware tab and then on the Device Manager button. 03.) Under Other Devices double click on Video Controller (VGA Compatible). 04.) When the Video Controller Properties window opens, click on Reinstall Driver. 05.) When the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard opens click Next. 06.) At the next window it will ask you "What do you want the wizard to do?". Make sure "Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended)" is selected. Click Next. 07.) At the next window unselect "Floppy disk drives" and "CD-ROM drives". Click the box next to "Specify a location" and click Next. 08.) At the next window, type in the path of the location where you downladed and extracted the driver files. For example: C:\cabs\7509182b Click OK. 09.) After windows searches the location you typed in the previous step it will find the driver. Click Next. 10.) At the "Completing the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard" click Finish. 11.) At the "Systems Settings Change" window click Yes to restart your computer. 12.) After restarting click Start, Settings, Control Panel. Double click on the Display Icon. Click the Settings tab and set the colors to High Color 16bit. If you have a 12.1" LCD, set the screen area to 800x600 pixels by moving the slider bar from Less to More. If you have a 14" LCD, set the screen area to 1024x768. Click OK. 13.) A Display Properties window will come up asking to apply your new settings. Click OK. 14.) A Monitor Settings window will come up. Click Yes to keep the settings.
