Identification If you have a Solo 3350 portable computer and are running Windows 2000, install these drivers. Installation Note: Verify that the network cable is attached to either the computer or the dock before installing the drivers. 1. Download the 7509143b.exe file, and then double-click it to extract the files. The default extraction path is C:\cabs\7509143b. 2. From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. In Control Panel, double-click the System icon. 3. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab. 4. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. 5. In Device Manager, click the plus sign (+) next to Network Adapters. Double-click 3Com 3C920 Integrated Fast Ethernet Controller. 6. In the 3Com 3C920 Integrated Fast Ethernet Controller Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver. 7. In the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard dialog box, click Next. 8. In the What do you want the Wizard to do dialog box, click Next. 9. In the next dialog box, click to clear the Floppy disk drives and CD-ROM drives check boxes. Select the Specify A Location check box, and then click Next. 10. In the next dialog box, type: C:\cabs\7509143b. Click OK. 11. In the Driver File Search Results dialog box, click Next. 12. If you a Digital Signature Not Found dialog box opens, click Yes. 13. Files copy. Click Finish. 14. In the 3Com 3C920 Integrated Fast Ethernet Controller Properties dialog box, click Close. 15. Close Device Manager and restart the computer. 16. After the computer restarts, from the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 17. In Control Panel, double-click the Network & Dial-up Connections icon. Consult your network administrator for the settings you need in order to connect to the network. Removal 1. From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 2. In Control Panel, double-click the System icon. 3. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager. 4. In Device Manager, click the plus sign (+) next to Network Adapters. Right-click Intel Pro/100VE Network Connection, and then click Uninstall. 5. In the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK. 6. Close Device Manager. 7. If prompted to restart the computer, click OK. Troubleshooting If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the removal procedure, and then re-install the drivers.
