Overview

These are the updated display drivers for the Solo 2550 running Windows 2000.


Identification

If you have a Solo 2550 and are running Windows 2000, install these drivers.


Installation

1.  From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

2.  In Control Panel, double-click the System icon.

3.  In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab.

4.  On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.

5.  In the Device Manager window, under Other Devices, double-click Video Controller.

6.  In the Video Controller dialog box, click the Driver tab.
 
7.  In the Driver dialog box, click Update Driver.

8.  In the Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box, click Next.
 
9.  In the next Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box, select Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended), and then click Next.

10.  In the next Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box, select Specify a location, and then click Next. 
 
11.  In the next Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box, in the Copy manufacturer's files from: text box, type: c:\cabs\7507972. Click OK. 

12.  In the next Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box, click Next.

13.  In the final Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box, click Finish.
 
14.  The Silicon Motion LynxEM Properties dialog box shows the driver installed. Click Close.
 
15.  In Device Manager under Display Adapters, Silicon Motion LynxEM is displayed.
 
16.  From the Start menu, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
 
17.  In Control Panel, double-click the Display icon.
 
18.  In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Settings tab.

19.  On the Settings tab, select the appropriate color and desktop settings, and then click Apply. 


Removal

1.  From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

2.  In Control Panel, double-click the System icon.

3.  In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab.

4.  On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.

5.  In Device Manager, right click Silicon Motion LynxEM, and then click uninstall..


Troubleshooting

If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the removal procedure, and then re-install the drivers.
