Overview

These are the audio drivers for the Solo 2550 running Windows 2000.


Identification

If you have a Solo 2550 and are running Windows 2000, install these drivers.


Installation

1.  From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

2.  In Control Panel, double-click the System icon.

3.  In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab.

4.  On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.

5.  In the Device Manager window, under Sound, video and game controllers, double-click ESS Maestro2E PCI AudioDrive (WDM).

6.  In the ESS Maestro2E PCI AudioDrive (WDM) Properties dialog box, click the Driver tab.

7.  On the Driver tab, click Update Driver.

8.  In the Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box, click Next.

9.  In the next Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box, select Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended), then click Next.

10.  In the next Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box, select Specify a location and click Next. 

11.  In the next Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box, in the Copy manufacturer's files from: text box, type: c:\Cabs\7506756c.  Click OK. 

12.  In the next Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box, click Next.

13.  In the final Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box, click Finish.

14.  The ESS Maestro2E PCI AudioDrive (WDM) Properties dialog box shows the driver installed. Click Close.

15.  In the System Settings Change dialog box, click Yes.


Removal

1.  From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

2.  In Control Panel, double-click the System icon.

3.  In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab.

4.  On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager.

5.  In the Device Manager window, right-click ESS Maestro2E PCI AudioDrive (WDM), and then click uninstall.


Troubleshooting

If you are having difficulty during or after the driver installation, follow the removal procedure, and then re-install the drivers.


Reason for Update

This is the initial release of driver.
