Introduction:

This Smart Array Multipath Software CD ships in the bundled 
4-port I/O option kit. The option supports the following:

- Two host controllers per server node in an active/passive configuration, 
  adding storage redundancy capability to boot controllers and their volumes
- Multiple I/O paths to the same disks, and re-routes I/O when a path 
  becomes unavailable
- Repairing a failed redundant I/O path on-line with support of hot replacement 
  of host controllers, hot adding of logical volumes, and hot adding of 
  redundant controllers


NOTE: When installing non-English versions of Microsoft Windows, you must 
      install the System Management Driver for ProLiant Storage Manager. 
      This required driver supports the gathering of controller slot information. 
      If the driver is not loaded, the ProLiant Storage Manager displays all 
      slot information as "Unknown" and makes the "Multipath Management" task unavailable.
