Mini PCI Unattended Install 12/08/99

Introduction:

This diskette contains the script files, modem drivers and setup program needed to 
support the unattended installation of the modem drivers for the following
applications:

- Windows NT4.0

Setup Files:
NTSetup.bat
Unattend.txt
CMDLines.txt

Supported Hardware:
Compaq Global Mini PCI 56k (V.90) Modem
-Armada M300
-Armada M700
-Armada E500
-Armada E700
-Armada V300

Compaq 56K (V.90) Mini PCI modem
-Armada M300
-Armada M700
-Armada E500
-Armada E700

A) Unattended Installation of the modem drivers

(note:  An unattend.txt file has been provided as an example to install
        the Compaq specific modems unattended under NT4.0.  You are required
        to modify your script file to include your company specific 
	preferences.)
***********************************************************************

1. Make a bootable floppy disk and copy the following files to the diskette:
	A:\NTSetup.bat
	A:\Unattend.txt
   
	NOTE: These two files need to be edited depending on:
	 - The drive letter and directory from which NT4 is being installed.
	 - Custom user and locale information.
	 - Installation of other device drivers and applications.

2. In the I386 folder on the installation drive create the following subdirectories:
	 $OEM$
	 $OEM$\$$
	 $OEM$\$$\INF	
	 $OEM$\C
	 $OEM$\C\LTSETUP

3. Copy the following files into the following directories of the installation drive:
	$OEM$\CMDLines.txt
	$OEM$\$$\INF\ltmodem.inf
	$OEM$\C\LTSetup\ltmodem.sys	
	$OEM$\C\LTSetup\ltdfi3.inf
	$OEM$\C\LTSetup\ltdfi4.inf
	$OEM$\C\LTSetup\ltdfi5.inf
	$OEM$\C\LTSetup\ltdfi6.inf
	$OEM$\C\LTSetup\ltports.inf
	$OEM$\C\LTSetup\Setup.exe
	$OEM$\C\LTSetup\lthomol.exe
	$OEM$\C\LTSetup\lthomol.ini
	$OEM$\C\LTSetup\ltmsg.exe	
	$OEM$\C\LTSetup\ltremove.exe	
	$OEM$\C\LTSetup\ltsetup.ini
	$OEM$\C\LTSetup\ltsetup1.dll
	$OEM$\C\LTSetup\ltsetup2.dll
	$OEM$\C\LTSetup\ltsetup3.exe
	$OEM$\C\LTSetup\laptop.sys
	
4. Boot the system off of the bootable floppy created in Step 1.
5. Type A:\NTSetup.bat and press the "Enter" key to begin the Unattended installation process
