Adapter Installation Procedure -------------------------------------------- a. Make sure your computer is power-off. b. Plug the adapter into one PCI 33MHz slot of your computer. c. Turn on the power. Install and/or Update driver from diskette(Only for Windows98 Sec.) ------------------------------------------ The following steps can help you install or update the driver by fSet98B.exe utility in the Adapter Drivers Diskette/CD-ROM. a. Make sure fSet98B.exe utility with all driver files in same folder. b. Run fSet98B.exe directly. Then follow the notification of MessageBox Popup Window. The following steps can help you install or update the driver to the one in the Adapter Drivers Diskette/CD-ROM. a. Boot from Windows 98. b. Windows 98 will pop 'PCI Ethernet Controller' dialog box for the found device. Then click on "Next". c. Select "Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended)" in the 'Add New Hardware Wizard' dialog box and then click on "Next". d. Uncheck "Floppy" and select "Specify a location". "Browse" to the directory where the driver is in. Then click on "Next". e. Click on "Next". f. Windows98 will contine installing the driver. g. Windows98 will ask for the Windows98 Installation CD-Rom. h. When Windows 98 displays "ASUS NX1001 Network Adapter" click on "Finish" to complete driver installation. 3.
